McMULLIN, Charles Arden - 80, Dartmouth formerly of Wyses Corner, passed away February 8th, 2013 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Wyses Corner, he was a son of the late Wilbert and Elizabeth (Ashley) McMullin. Charlie began his working career at the Nova Scotia Hospital dedicating 21 years before owning and operating his own business, retiring about 10 years ago. Charlie continued to find some sort of project to do while in retirement along with caring for his wife. He will be missed by family and friends. Charlie is survived by his wife of more than 57 years, Emily, daughter Jessie (Jeff) Parsons, Dartmouth; son Gary (Kimberlea) McMullin, Lake Echo; grandchildren Jasmine, James and Annalise; sister Pearl Sibley, Meaghers Grant; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Ralph McMullin, Sylvester Ashley, sisters Annie McMullin, Josephine Crouse, Jean McMullin and Reta Sibley. Visitation 2-4pm (no family present) & 7-9pm (family present) Thursday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, from where a funeral service will be help 2pm, Friday, Rev. David LeBlanc officiating. Interment in the Elderbank Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the Arthritis Society.
