Obituary of Patricia June Hirtle
HIRTLE, Patricia “June” -age 79 of Truro, formerly of Carroll’s Corner. On July 31, 2019, part of our souls left us as our mom, Patricia “June” Hirtle was reunited with our dad at Heaven’s Gate.
Born in Port Dufferin, she was a daughter of the late George and Bertha (Hughes) McLellan.
Mom was a fun loving, “tell it like she saw it” lady. If she directed a “saucy” comment your way, it was because she loved you! She was both mom and dad to us for the past 17 years, for that we are forever grateful. Mom loved to crochet, knit and tackled the daily crossword puzzle. She made the best date filled cookies and mincemeat. Mom was all about family; family time made her the happiest. Her grandchildren made her heart overflow with love.
She is survived by her daughter and best friend, Cathy; sons, Danny (Carolyn), Truro; Tim (Tanya), Truro; daughters, Tammy (Brett), Clarkesville; Shelly (Andy), Musquodoboit; Dianna (Jim), Sydney; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her special fur baby, Holly.
Mom was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband and our dad, Laurie.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, August 3 in Gays River United Church, Rev. Nancy Ritchie officiating. Interment in the Gays River Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall.
