MacNAMARA, Robert Emmanual "Mannie" - 83, Stewiacke, passed away February 12, 2013 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Daniel and Alfreda (LeVangie) McNamara. He served with the RCAF, retiring as a captain. Mannie then went on to be the supervisor of school busing for the Department of Education. He will be sadly missed by sons Brian (Betty) MacNamara, Pickering, ON; Kevin ( Leah) MacNamara, Shubenacadie; grandchildren Byron, Amanda, Ryan and Justin; sisters Luella King, Brantford, ON; Jean (Alfred) Landry, Millville, NS; Monica (Joe) Andrea, North Sydney; brothers Fred (Hazel) McNamara, Port Hawkesbury; Gerard (Alice) McNamara, Westmount; Frank (Ellen) McNamara, North Sydney; Bernard (Wreatha) McNamara, Salisbury, NB; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley and sister Bernice. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. There will be no visitation or service at his request. Memorial donations may be made to the Mental Health Association or a charity of your choice. The family would like to give special thanks to Linda Vaughn, his caregiver and friend.
