Obituary of Yvonne Helen Clarke

CLARKE, Yvonne Helen – age 75 of Enfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 27, 2017. Born in Enfield, she was a daughter of the late John and Lydia (MacDonnell) Benere. Yvonne loved her family and her greatest pleasure was being at home surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and devoted her time in retirement tending to them. She loved her dog, Gracie. She enjoyed camping and keeping her husband, Roy, busy. She played guitar mostly for her own pleasure. Yvonne was a loyal and dedicated friend to many. She was a devoted mother to her children who will miss her presence dearly. We take some measure of comfort in knowing Mom is now with her grandson, Travis Wade. She is survived by her loving husband, Roy; her children, Bruce (Marilyn); Janette “Nettie” (John), Stephen, Jerry (Sherry), Patti (David), Cindy, Kym (Wade); grandchildren, Nichol, Cory, Amanda, Kyle, Matthew, Steve, Krissy, Andrea, Jillian, Jeffery, Sherri, Tanner, Josh; great grandchildren, Noah, Nicholas, Jacob, Jacob A., Layla, Miley, Tate, Taylor, Kayden, Jaxon, Lennon, and Albie; siblings, Rita White, Eddie (Marge) Benere, Marge Shackleton, Theresa (Albert) Ross; numerous nieces and nephews. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Travis Wade MacLeod; Brothers, William, Douglas, Raymond, Leo, and Bernard Benere; sisters, Eileen Hirshfeld, Marie Garden, Dot Day. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held beginning 1pm Monday, July 31st until a service Celebrating Yvonne’s Life at 3pm both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway2, Shubenacadie, Father Michael Walsh officiating.
