Unfortunately sometimes we come to late to contact a friend or relation and then to our grief see they have passed on. I was sorry to see the passing of Reg, as I was trying to contact him as I am going to Russia in a few days and knew of his experience there. Reg, was my mother's cousin (Dorothy Wallace Boyd of Edmonton). I met Reg, as a young girl when he came to visit my Grandmother (Lottie Singer Wallace)who lived with us. Over the early years Reg and I had a nice correspondence and when I travelled to Europe in 1968 (as a 20 yr. old) he gave me many pointers of things to see and do. We ended up meeting for a few days in London. Unfortunately time, families and work get in the way and life skips by and now regretfully I wished we had kept up that correspondence. As my husband is an educator and we have spend time in Cuba and loved it and the people also---I would loved to have heard Reg's stories about all his fine work there. My thought will be with him as I travel in Russia and remember the things he had told me about all those years ago. Please accept my condolences to all the family at this sad time.

Reg was an extraordinary human being; he worked tirelessly to help families with economic difficulties in Cuba. I will remember him with profound gratitude and admiration.

My Memories of Reg are of teaching with him at Hillside Park so long ago. More recently having him remember my name when I met Reg at the Flea Market and purchased a basket from him. A fine gentleman.
