Obituary of Helen Stevenson Helen G. STEVENSON (MacMicken) – The family, with great sadness, announce the passing of Helen at Dartmouth General Hospital on Sat., Aug 4, 2018. She was born in PEI to the late George & Dorothy MacMicken. She had lived in Fairview and Dartmouth. Helen had retired as a CNA from the IWK Hospital in 1994. She was a member of Fairview United Church where she was a devoted volunteer with the Seniors Luncheon for many years. Helen also enjoyed spending time with family, tendering her flowers and painting the “White Picket Fence.” Helen is survived by sisters Bertha Goodick and Susan MacDonald, brother Robert (Lorraine) also nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces. Helen was predeceased by sisters Margaret Rose, Ada Stalker and nephew Donald Goodick. Many thanks to the Drs. and nurses of 3 West for their care and support during her stay. No visitation as per her request. A Celebration of Life to be held at Centennial Branch #160 Legion, 703 Main St, Dartmouth on Sun, Aug 19th at 1pm. Private family burial to take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lr. Sackville NS at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the IWK Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822). STEVENS, Helen Grace, age 91, of Lantz, passed away peacefully in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on February 12, 2015. She was a daughter of the late Harris and Reta (Isenor) Keyes. Helen loved flower gardens, sewing and shopping. She always looked forward to an adventure. Helen retired from MSI after a 20 year career. She is survived by her husband, Frank Dimaio; her children Donna (Reg) Hingley, Bible Hill; and Harold (Lola) Stevens, Lantz; siblings Fred Keyes, Jean Ashley and Richard Keyes; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Roy Stevens, brothers Lexie Keyes and Ron Keyes. Visitation 3-6 pm, Tuesday, February 17, and from noon until time of service at 2pm, Wednesday, February 18, all in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. Spring interment in St. George's Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted. Donations in memory of Helen may be made to a charity of your choice.
