MacPhee, Percy David-75, of Stewiacke, passed away July 6, 2013. Born in Truro on October 21, 1937 to the late Frank and Laura Jean (Crowell) MacPhee. Percy was a man of many trades and spent his life working in many jobs; from driving a taxi in the early years, to construction, town engineer of Stewiacke, the National Gypsum, and running his own backhoe service. He was "Mr. Fix-it" to everyone, including his many neighbours. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley(Caudle); sons, David(Kim), Kevin(Shannon) of Stewiacke; Tim(Kathy) Vegreville, Alta.; daughter, Shelly (Kevin)Curtis of Shubenacadie; his pride and joy, his grandchildren:Chris, Andrew, Susan (Keith), Rylan, Justin, Lindsay, Christie, Kirstin, Taylor, Kassidy. His faithful canine companion, Brandy, will also miss him. Predeceased by son, Rickey. Percy was the last surviving member of his immediate familyand now joins brothers, Don, Gerald, Alfred, and sisters Edna, Olive, Yulla, and Sharon. Visitation will be held in Ettinger Funeral Home ,2812 Hwy 2, Shubenacadie, Tuesday July 9, 2-4 and 7-9 pm from where funeral service will be held Wednesday July10, at 2 PM.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit of CEHHA.
