Obituary of Lewis Boyd

BOYD, Lewis Earl - 76, passed away December 23, in the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Elmsdale, he was a son of the late Bill and Isabel (MacAloney) Boyd. Lewis was a truck driver most of his life working for B J MacPhee Trucking and Department of Transportation. Animals had a special place in Lewis's heart. Lewis was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Vera (Wier), children Stephen Boyd and Phyllis Boyd; grandchildren Joey, Michael, Shelly, Nicole, Steven and Yvonne; great grandchildren Jessica, Hannah, Nakita and Anthony; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughters Catherine Isenor, Barbara Boyd; Lisa and Roxanne in infancy, brothers Harold and Ralph. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home. No visitation by request. Funeral service 2pm, Tuesday, December 30, in Ettinger Funeral Home, Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
