BOYD, (Laffin), Evelyn Mae - 77, Dartmouth formerly of White Settlement passed away November 12, 2014 at her residence in Glasgow Hall, Dartmouth. Born May 7, 1937 in White Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Amy (White) Laffin. Our mother loved her children very much. She loved going to bingo, music, dancing and socializing with family and friends. She is survived by her sons Robert Lawerence Laffin (Kathy), Billy Boyd; daughters Sheila Boyd-Blanchette (Daniel), Wanda Boyd (Barry), Sandra Gail Murphy (Gerald), Glenda Boyd (Steve); fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Faye Laffin; brother-in-law Louie Boyd (Vera). She was predeceased by her husband Ralph Boyd, infant son Darren Boyd, sisters Mabel McLellan, Dorothy Bently, Clara White, Emma Neil, Ruby McLeod, Effie Parker, Pearle Parker, Aileen White and brothers Victor Laffin, Harris Laffin and grandson Christopher Wooden. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. Funeral service 11am, Friday, November 14th in Ettinger Funeral Home Chapel, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, M. Dale Crawford officiating. Interment in St. James Presbyterian Cemetery, Noel Road. The family would like to thank all the staff at Glasgow Hall, Dartmouth for the amazing care of our Mother.
