CASEY, Norman E.- 79, Upper Rawdon, passed away in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, on October 8, 2014. Born in Centre Rawdon, he was a son of the late James Cecil and Gladys Whittier (Custance) Casey. Norman was an outstanding community person. Survived by his wife Kaye; daughters Lynette (Mark) Smith, Upper Rawdon; Wendy (Tim) Painting, Beaverbank; his granddaughter (the light of his life) Shelby, also Mark's daughter Marlee Smith; brothers Keith (Rae) Casey, Centre Burlington; Michael (Mae) Casey, Centre Rawdon; sister Bobby (Keith) MacLean, Lakeview; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Dennis and a sister Margaret and his granddaughter Emma Elaine. Visitation 6-9 pm, Thursday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, with funeral service 3pm, Friday in Upper Rawdon United Church, M. Dale Crawford DLM officiating. Interment in the Upper Rawdon Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Upper Rawdon Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Upper Rawdon Cemetery Fund, c/o Sarah Withrow or a charity of your choice.
