BILBY, Ernest Douglas "Ernie" 58 of Maitland, passed away peacefully at home Sunday July14, 2013. Born April 22, 1955 in Windsor, he was a son of the late Thompson and Apolonia "Lona" (Bruinsma) Bilby. Ernie was a proud father and grandfather, he will be missed. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Jim) Bilby, Debert; son Brandon Bilby and sister Donna (Lewie) Bilby, both of Maitland; grandchildren Alyssa and Emma, Debert; nieces Michelle (Fred) and Merissa Hirschfeld, Sherbrooke. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger's Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. As per Ernie's wishes, there will be no visitation and a private service will held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association. Condolences may be sent to the family by signing the "Guest Book" at www.ettingerfuneralhome.com
