Obituary of Willard Rushton

RUSHTON, Willard Mark - 77, Oakfield. It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Willard Mark Rushton announce his passing on August 27, 2014. Born in Halifax he was the son of the late Herman and Elva (Peters) Rushton. Willard was a plasterer for many years and ran his own company working along side his best friend and brother -in - law Jack Campbell. Willard was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and going to the cottage on the lake. He was a dedicated husband and a loving dad. He adored and was adored by his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. Willard is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Joan (Campbell), his children Shirley (Lowell) Phillips , Janet (Jim) Drolet, Glenda (Vernon) Jordan, Larry (Wanda) Rushton, Judy Rushton and Willard (Tanya) Rushton; grandchildren Troy, Shawn, Trevor, Helen, Stuart, James, Tina, Glen, Amanda, Mark, Matt, Jonathan, Robert and Melissa; great grandchildren Emma, Shaelynn, Jayden, Broden, Tristen, Sarah, Joseph, Skylynn, Emma, Patrick, Jessica and Madyson; brothers Oscar and Keith; sisters Hattie and Audrey and many extended family members. He was predeceased by his son Jerry, sister Thelma, brother Robert and brother-in-law George. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home. As per Dad's wishes there will be no visitation or service. Donations in memory of Willard may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association.
