Obituary of Darla Parker

PARKER, Darla Juliet - 51, Shubenacadie, passed away July 10th , 2014 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born in Kennetcook, she was a daughter of the late Viola "Sis" and Scott Singer. Darla had been employed at the Chignecto Central Regional School Board for the last 11 years. What Darla held most dear and precious was her immediate family, close friends and making people smile. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years Leslie, daughters Kaitlyn, Sydnee (Carey), son Colby; sisters Rosalyn Grant (Downey), Helen Barkhouse (Lennie), Valerie Simm, Pat Leighton (Blair), Charlene Fraser (Jimmy), brothers Doug Singer (Margo), Keith Singer (Joanne), Jim Singer (Angie), mother and father-in-law Kay and Lester Parker, sister-in-law Carla Clarke (David), Lori Higgins (Todd); several nieces and nephews. Cremation entrusted to Ettinger Funeral Home. There will be no visitation or funeral service at Darla's request. Family and friends are welcome to gather at 8 JP Lane, Shubenacadie from 2-6 pm, on Monday, July 14, to remember Darla.
