GAMBLE, Lottie Mae - 94, Bass River, passed away peacefully June 4, 2014 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, with family by her side. Born in South Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Janie (Veinot) Taylor. She moved to Bass River after spending many years in Toronto. Lottie enjoyed doing yard work and embroidery. She was the second lady in Ontario to ever hold a tractor trailer license. She is survived by sons, Vernon (Lillian), Economy; Wayne, Milford; daughter, Betty Jean, Georgetown, ON.; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; brother Gary Taylor (Marilyn). She was predeceased by her first husband, Samuel Wambolt, second husband, Kenneth Gamble, daughter, Bertina Murphy, son, Aretas and granddaughter, Nadine Wambolt, two brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held 7-9 pm Thursday with funeral service 11 am Saturday, June 7, 2014, both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Lori Crocker DM officiating. Burial in Sandy Hill Cemetery, Belnan. Reception following the committal at the Upper Nine Mile River Fire Hall. Donations in memory of Lottie may be made to the S.P.C.A.
