SMITH, Bonita Maureen "Bonnie" - 59, Selma, passed away May 18, 2014, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late James and Myrtle (Rath) MacLearn. She was a life long resident of Selma, Hants County. She enjoyed her cottage at Portipique with her "Shady Nook" family, playing horseshoes. Bonnie was a former employee at Hillcrest Manor for over twenty five years. She was also a member of the Forresters Society. Surviving are her husband Gary, sons Kevin, Selma; and Paul (Amy), Kennetcook; grandchildren Griffin, Parker and Mya Smith whom she loved spending time with; sister Mavis Tanner (Bob) and brother Kenny MacLearn (Adele). She was predeceased by her siblings Marion, Keith, Colleen and Sharon. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home. A service of committal will be held at the Selma United Church Cemetery at 1pm, Saturday, May 24. Donations in her memory may be made to the Huntington Society.
