ETTINGER, Rose Ella, Welland, ON/Maple Grove, NS, passed away peacefully at Welland Hospital, Ontario, on Wednesday May 14 , 2014, in her 99th year. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Georgefield, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Annie (Martell) Allison. Rose was a long time resident of Maple Grove, Hants Co. She was employed and resided in Dartmouth from 1957 -1970. Faithfully a longtime member of St. John The Baptist Anglican Church ACW and Ladies Orange Lodge. She enjoyed traveling with her husband. Dear mother of Wayne (Marjorie), and Deon (Sarah); loving grandmother of Karen (Greg) Foisy, Don Ettinger(DeirDre McKay) , Stacy (Arnold) Nolan, Christopher Lawrence; great grandmother of Stephanie and Matthew. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Roy, sisters Lucy, Marg, Elinor and Laura, brothers Lawrence and Arthur. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8pm, Sunday in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Funeral service will be 2pm, Monday in St. John The Baptist Anglican Church, Maple Grove (Latties Brook) , Rev. Gary Yetman officiating assisted by Rev. Arthur Cuzner. Interment in the church cemetery. Donations in memory of Rose may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. John the Baptist Anglican Cemetery.
