SMITH, Melvin Earl " Mel " "Pa Pa " Shubenacadie passed away peacefully with loving family surrounding him in Colchester Regional Hospital ,Truro, on May 9th, 2014. He was predeceased by parents , Earl and Annie (Peach) Smith of Elmsdale/ Windsor NS and brother, Donald. Survived by a brother Sidney (Ruth Paige) and sister, Linda MacDonald; children, Kevin, Amanda Smith (Jeff Sawler), Meredith Brimicombe (Paul Wallace) , Julie Brimicombe (Troy Ritchie), Jennifer Robinson (Darrell), Mark Brimicombe.; grandchildren, Jessica and Lynden Wallace, Alicia and Rene Ritchie, Chelsie and Brandon Robinson, Carissa and Jeffery Brimicombe, Corey Smith, Ashley Mills; great- grandchildren, Marissa, Keighan and Kaliya. Mel "PaPa" was and is a very special man to most he came in contact with, always a laugh or a joke to pass around. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. Anyone who knew him well knows he is with the love of his life Barbara (Brimicombe) Copp and they are smiling down on us all.
