GREEN, Nora "Pearl" - age 94, Lower Selma, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2014 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Minasville on Nov. 25, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Maud (Reynolds) Hill and step daughter to Thomas Hill. Pearl was a loving mother and nanny. She always had time for the family and loved family gatherings. A homemaker all her life and a great role model for her family, she was always ready to help anyone in need. She was a supporter of church and community. Her greatest passions were making quilts and baking. These gifts continued into her later life as she was often found in the kitchen making cookies for her grandchildren. Pearl always had a puzzle book and was an avid card player. She played crib until she was hospitalized a few days ago. Pearl seldom missed music nights at the church and loved classic country and gospel. Feisty until the end, she was capable of making her own decisions about her healthcare, surprising everyone with her courage and good humour. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Miller, Noel Shore, Muriel Green, Truro; one son, Leonard (Sheila), Lower Selma; six grandchildren, Judy (Bernard), Earl (Anna), Jeff, Tim, Bill (Trudy), and Ed; six great grandchildren, Jackie, Ronnie, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Jordan, Ned; three great-great grandchildren, Ryan, Grace, Seth.
