Obituary of Sadie MacDonald

MacDONALD, Sadie Edith Cavell - age 98, Truro, formerly of Upper Nine Mile River, passed away peacefully in Wynn Park Villa, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dartmouth, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Henry and Ruth Gertrude (York) Dort. She was a longtime ACW member of St. David's Church, Upper Rawdon. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who had a special connection with each family member. She will be sadly missed by her son Edward (Dianne), Thailand; daughter Shirley, Hilden; daughters in law Donalda and Maude; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James Earl; sons, Earl Lawrence and James Stillman; brothers Charles, Allison, Wilburn, and Beverly; sisters Alice, Thelma, Hazel, Ruth, Edna, and Margaret. The family would like to thank the staff at Wynn Park for the loving care they provided to Sadie. In keeping with Sadie's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at Sand Hill Cemetery, Nine Mile River. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
