Obituary of Charlotte May Naugle

NAUGLE, Charlotte May “Shirley” - age 89, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024 at Braeside Home for Special Care in Middle Musquodoboit surrounded by family.  Born in Spryfield, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Viola Stone.  Shirley, as she was affectionately known, worked at Moir’s Chocolate factory in her younger years.  She had a kind heart and was known for her compassion and for taking in stray animals; of which, she tried her best to help and never turned any away.  Shirley is predeceased by her late husband, Harold “Buddy”; sisters, Doris, Jean and children, Viola Jean, Terry Ross, Keith Wayne, and grandchild Sonja.  She is survived by her sister, June; children, David, Robert, June, Anne, Fred, Steven, Sheila, Allan; and 18 grandchildren, as well as many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, NS.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 4PM Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Ettinger’s Funeral Home, 2812 Hwy 2, Shubenacadie, NS.  Burial to follow at St. Paul’s United Church Cemetery, Antrim.
