Obituary of Wade White
WHITE, Maxwell “Wade” - age 69, of Enfield, formerly of North Noel Road, passed away on January 9th at the
Colchester East Hants Health Center in Truro. Wade battled 4 years of cancer courageously. He was surrounded by
family and friends in his final hours.
Wade retired from a career in construction and enjoyed his retirement years on Brule Point. He was a sports
lover, especially Hockey, cheering on his Montreal Canadiens, Baseball, seeing his L.A. Dodgers win the World
Series in 2020 and he very rarely missed a NASCAR race. Wade enjoyed his newspapers, crossword puzzles, camping and
country music.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Gagnon-White, daughter Nicole “Nicki” (Craig) O’Brien, son Kevin,
grandson Dylan, great grandson Riley, brother Merrill (Joy), sisters Janet Tucker (Randie) and Terri Nicks (Scott),
sisters in law, Diane (Rick) Cunning, Kathy (Brian) Stevens, Annette (Jerry) Murphy and Joyce Howse, goddaughter
Jodi and buddy Jasper, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Wade was predeceased by his parents Medford and Caroline (Miller) White, his infant daughter Rebecca, brothers
Mervin and Michael, niece Tammy, parents in law Frank & Mary Gagnon.
We would like to thank all the nurses and doctors who cared for Wade, a special thank you to Dr. Snow, Dr. Rowe
and Dr. Henderson and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit.
Cremation has taken place under the entrusted care of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1-4pm Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Green Hall, 60 Old Hwy. 354, North Noel Road, NS. Donations in Wade’s memory may be made to the Cancer Society.
