Obituary of Patricia Anne Carroll

CARROLL, Patricia Anne - 80 of Lantz, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on August 31, 2023, in the Ivy Meadows, Beaver Bank. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Capt. Kenneth and Ruby (Kaiser) McLay.

She grew up in the Hydrostone and was proud of it. Patricia cherished her four grandchildren and great granddaughter. She put everyone before her own needs. Patricia enjoyed dancing and Elvis. She spent her summers growing up in Port Bickerton and then brought her grandchildren there to enjoy the area. Patricia enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and could also be bartering for her favourite chocolate, which were Mars bars for small sewing projects.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert, son, Mark (Karen), daughter, Susan (Mike McLauchlan), brother, Rod (Trish), sister, Cathy (Terry), Phyllis (Skip), Margaret (Ben), grandchildren, Brooke, Shamus (Ashley), Grace (Darren), Jake and great granddaughter, Ellie and coming soon a baby boy, only Pat knows his name.

A graveside service will be held at 12 pm on Sunday, September 3, in Christ Church Cemetery, Lantz. Rev’d Dr. Jane Magrath officiating. Donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to the Christ Church Cemetery, Lantz.
