Obituary of Lynn Dobie

DOBIE, Lynn – age 75 of Milford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 8, 2023. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Olive (Thibodeau) Hicks.

Lynn’s passion in life was her family and her focus was making sure they were all well looked after as well as providing a clean and comfortable home. Besides primarily being a homemaker, she worked at several part time jobs over the years. Lynn was well traveled having lived from coast to coast in Canada and four years in Germany. She had visited every Canadian province plus the Yukon as well as several states and Mexico. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Les; children, Leslie (Stephanie Francis), Mineville; daughter, Kelly (Serge) Boily, Centre Burlington; grandchildren, Noemie Echols, Geenville, South Carolina; Thomas Boily (RCAF) and Hannah Dobie, Mineville; siblings, Denise (Neil), Bellefontaine, Dartmouth; Ed Hicks, Halifax; Edith (Barry) Derouin, Ottawa, ON; Mark Hicks (Rodney), Halifax.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by sister, Sharon Hicks; brother, John Hicks.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. No service by request.

Special thanks to the staff of the Plasmapheresis Unit at the VG Hospital as well as the neurologists that cared for her over 20 years. Lynn has been very grateful for the care given to her by VON Homecare and the amazing group of care providers.
