Obituary of David Gordon Hill
HILL, David Gordon – age 64 of Upper Rawdon, passed away on June 7th, 2023, in Elk Court, Bible Hill. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Gordon and Grace (Withrow) Hill.
David graduated from Kennetcook High School and then went to work at NS Tractors and Equipment. After he left NS Tractors and Equipment, he went to work for his father and took over the truck and went on to work for Conrad’s Sand and Gravel as an owner/operator. Despite being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in his thirties, he carried on and lived life to the fullest as best as he could.
David is survived by his brother, Kevin; aunt, Anne Carroll; cousins, Lee-Anne and Laurie; Robbie Wight.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his cousin, Heather; aunts, Patricia and Sharon.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of VON, the private caregivers and the staff at Elk Court for their care of David.
