Obituary of Della Maxine Webber
WEBBER, Della Maxine – age 84 of Belnan, passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2023, in the Magnolia Continuing Care Facility, Enfield. She was a daughter of the late Alton and Marion (Wright) Taylor.
Della was a registered nurse who graduated in 1959 from the Halifax Children’s Hospital. She began her career in 1960 at the Halifax Infirmary where she worked until her retirement in August of 2001. Della was a woman of deep faith serving Elmsdale Baptist Church faithfully for many years. She loved to sew, knit, bake and cook for her family as well as spend time with her dear friends. She went every year to her nursing class reunion where she had many laughs and good times – they shared a special bond for 67 years.
Della is survived by her daughters, Lisa (David), Hubbards; Connie, Lantz; grandchildren, Andrew (Caitlyn), Enfield; Cassandra, Lantz; Matthew (Hannah), Lantz; great grandson, Jude; brother; Jim (Joan), Coldbrook; sister, Nadine, Milford; sister-in-law, Audrey, Ontario; brother-in-law, Murray, Coldbrook; numerous nieces and nephews; beloved cat, Buddy.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sweetheart, Robert; sister, Alta; brother, Douglas; sister, Vanta, in infancy.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Monday, April 24th, 2023, in Elmsdale Baptist Church, 510 Highway 2, Enfield. Pastor Darryl Dykens officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Burial to be held at a later date.
Donations in Della’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the SPCA.
