JANICE LORRAINE HILLYARD (RICHARDS)

March 31, 1962 - November 21, 2022

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Janice Lorraine Hillyard (nee Richards) on November 21, 2022 at the age of 60 years.

Predeceased by her father, Leonard Richards (l989); brother, Jeff Richards (2015); father-in-law, Bert Hillyard (1994).

Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are her devoted husband of 34 years, Rod; loving daughter, Kimberly; mother, Lorraine Richards; sister, Debbie Gosse; mother-in-law, Marina Hillyard; sister-in-law, Gail (Conrad) Powell; brother-in-law, Stephen (Tracey) Hillyard; nephews, Glen (Sonya) Gosse, Collin (Jen) Powell, Ben Hillyard and Sam Hillyard; niece, Eve Powell; great nieces, Nora and Leah. Also grieving her loss are numerous uncles, cousins and friends, both in Newfoundland Labrador and Nova Scotia.

Special thanks to the medical team at Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro for the kindness and care shown to Janice during her stay.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.

To acknowledge Janice’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A private interment will take place at a later date.
