PILKINGTON, Christopher John - age 68, of Dartmouth, passed away of a sudden cardiac event on October 31, 2022.

Predeceased by parents Marie Helen (Gervais) and Sydney Charles Pilkington, brothers David and Brian, sister Lynn.

He is survived by sons Adam (Carolyn) and Alex (Robin), grandchildren Kate, Jane and Lachlan; sisters Margaret (late Aubrey) and Jennifer (Rob); special niece Leigh-Anne Rivers (Jason); sisters-in-law Susan and Bonnie as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Chris spent his early years in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, before moving with his family first to Chatham, Ontario and then to Ottawa, where he married and started his family. In 1993 he relocated to Dartmouth, which he made his permanent home.

For most of his adult life, Chris struggled with his physical and mental health. In later years, he came in touch with the Salvation Army community, whose support and encouragement gave him a renewed outlook on life and helped reawaken his faith. His family is very grateful to them.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 11 am at Encounter Church of The Salvation Army, 51 Metropolitan Avenue in Lower Sackville. A light lunch reception will follow the service.
