Obituary of Peter Nelson

NELSON, Peter - 60 of Upper Stewiacke passed away Monday August 5th at home. Born in Middle Musquodoboit he was the son of the late Warren and Eva (Ryan) Nelson. He was a graduate from Colchester Community College and worked as a mechanic before being employed with the Department of Natural Resources for twenty five years. He has been retired for five years. He was a blueberry producer. He enjoyed old cars and Country and Blues Music and played stand up Bass with Black Powder Boys. He is survived by his wife Judy (Bradley), step children Greg MacDonald and Sandra (Jamie York) MacDonald, both of Bible Hill; sisters Wendy (Hal) Brenton, Brentwood; Ruth Sheehy, Stewiacke /Five Houses; Joan (Mike) Miller, Stewiacke; Nicola (Barry) MacLean, Shubenacadie; and Iris Brown, Stewiacke; grandchildren Jessie, Jacob and Elizabeth; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9pm Thursday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2 Shubenacadie. Funeral service 2pm Friday in South Branch Community Centre, South Branch, Rev. Marjory Cornelius officiating.
