Wilma Brimicombe Obituary

BRIMICOMBE, (Kohout) Wilma Bridget - 70, of Wellington passed away December 6th, 2013, in the QE11 Hospital in Halifax. She was a daughter of the late Wenzel Joseph (Vin) Kohout and Agnes Cecelia King. Born in Enfield June 27th, 1943, she was raised there and upon completing school, enrolled in Teachers College in Truro. She taught in Lockport and Waverly, among other places but retired from teaching to raise her children. Wilma was inseparable from her sister Joan and they spent much time over the years in flea markets and craft sales. She was also an avid bingo fan, loved to read, and was especially joyful in the time she spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ralph Henry Brimicombe, Wellington; sons Dale (Gina) of Halifax and Lorin of Eastern Passage; daughter Karin of Wellington; grandchildren Meghan, Latisha, Kyle, Sydney, Morgan and Michael; sister Joan Campbell of Dartmouth; brother Christopher (Dreena) of Ontario, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Frances, Ann Marie (in infancy); brother Joseph. Many thanks to the nurses and staff on the 3rd floor IMCU at the QE 11 Hospital, especially Julie, Joann, Frank, and Dr. Kate Powell. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home Shubenacadie. There will be no service by request.
