John Beattie Obituary

BEATTIE, John Alexander "Junior", 76- Debert, formerly of Maitland, passed away suddenly, December 6, 2013, in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Maitland, he was a son of the late John and Gladys (Archibald) Beattie. Junior was a professional truck driver and later worked in the construction industry. He loved horses and enjoyed music and antique cars. He is survived by brothers, Dawson (Claire), Charles (Helen), sisters, Helen (Henry) Hartlen, Caroline (Gus) Ratchford, and Linda (Laurie) Bartlett, sisters in-law, Muriel Miller and Pauline Beattie; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Murray and Clifford; a sister Thelma Ellis. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Monday, December 9, at Oak Island Cemetery, Maitland, David Danaher LLWL officiating.
