SPENCER, (NOWE), Lillian Ethel - 80, Milford Station/Truro, it is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Lillian on November 20, 2013, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. She was born on April 24, 1933 in Shubenacadie East to the late Calvin and Theresa (Hyson) Nowe. Mum had worked at the Roxie Theatre, Hat and Cap factory, Abby and Murray's restaurants, Cara, Cooks Egg Plant and for many families in Hants County doing housework. She loved cooking, gardening, dancing, camping, music and scrapbooking. Lillian is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Alan, daughter Shirley Anne (Keith) Myers; grandchildren Adena (Mark) Wilson and Matthew (Shannon) Myers; great grandson Regan Wilson and great granddaughter Halle Myers, who brought a twinkle to her eye. She is also survived by her brother Calvin "Sonny" Nowe Jr. , sisters-in-law Shirley Restrick, Shirley Spencer and Julia White, Aunt Margaret Thompson, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Peggy J. Watson, brother -in-law Eldon "Eddy" Spencer. Funeral service 2pm Monday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Martin Reid officiating. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. Lillian's family would like to send their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff on E2, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Special thanks to Bernadette Ryan.
