COPAGE, Laverne Shirley - 58, Indian Brook, passed away November 13, 2013 in the East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Charles Forman Feener, Ontario and the late Shirley Haroldine (Huntley) Feener. Laverne was a loving, caring person who was known to many as "nanny". She loved her flower garden and sharing it with others. She adored her puppies, Sampson and Baby. She is survived by her husband, Chief Rufus Copage, Indian Brook, children Kevin (Jennifer) Copage, Tammy(Shawn) Maloney, grandchildren Katelyn, Mika, Ashley, Charlene and Matthew, all of Indian Brook; godchildren Victorine Paul, Peter Syliboy, Eugene Maloney and Justice Paul, all of Indian Brook, Abram Paul Jr., Millbrook, brothers Keith (Rob) Feener, Ontario, twin brothers, Danny (Tammy) Feener, Calgary and David (Carol) Feener, Halifax; sister Colleene (Rick) Jackson, Upper Stewiacke; sister in-law Ruth Feener, Calgary; mother in-law Marie Doyle; sisters in-law, Sharon Copage and Sheila Doyle, all of Indian Brook; many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her mother, she was predeceased by a brother Roger Feener. Visitation will be held after 7pm this evening, Thursday November 14, at 384 Robinson Road, Indian Brook. A funeral service will be held 10am Saturday November 16, 2013 at St. Kateri's Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Father Tom Kurudeepan O.M.I. presiding. Interment will follow in the St. Catherine's RC Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. You may send condolences to the family at www.ettingerfuneralhome.com
