Obituary of Ella Marie Hurshman

HURSHMAN, Ella Marie-age 79 of Stewiacke peacefully passed away at home on October 27, 2020 with family by her side. Born in Oakfield, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Ruth (Turple) King.

Ella’s heart was full of love for her family and friends. Her love of music, social gatherings and her flower gardens gave her much joy. She loved when family and friends would drop by for a tea, share a story and a song or two. Her love of gardening is only surpassed by her love for her family. Her smile and welcoming arms will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

Ella is survived by sons, Bill (Pat), Edmonton, AB, Doug (Melody), Fredericton,NB,  Stewart (Karen), Enfield, daughter, Donna, Stewiacke; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Lorraine; numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Ella was predeceased by her husband of over 63 years, Bill; son, Steve; granddaughter, Deborah; brothers, Michael King, Francis “Frank” King and David King.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No visitation or service will be held at this time.
