BAKER (Murphy),Edna Jane , Middle Musquodoboit/White Rock. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna in her 90th year on October 30, 2013, after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Born in Lake Egmont, she was the youngest child of the late Edgar and Florence Murphy and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was born and raised on the family farm along with ten siblings. At 21 she married the love of her life, Parker Baker, then moved to Fairview where they raised their family. After retirement Mom and Dad moved to Milford, where they lived until his passing. Mom then moved to the villa in Middle Musquodoboit where she resided until her illness then moving to her son Gerald's in White Rock. Mom was a very loving, caring person and always ready to lend a helping hand to all who needed it. She loved her Lord and had faith in all and could always be counted on to service her church in every way. She was a faithful member of Middle Musquodoboit U.C.W. She loved to read, crochet, knit, quilt making, do jigsaw puzzles, and word finds. She was of keen mind and could tell the best stories. She is survived by children Gerald (Wilma), White Rock; Wayne (Betty), Hamilton, ON.; Nita (Adelor), Sackville; ten grandchildren seven great grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren, sister-in-law Bessie Murphy. She was predeceased by her husband Parker, infant son Bruce, siblings Gladys MacKay, Edith Spares, John, Florence Langille, Roy, Blanch Burnette, Frances Kellough, Mable Spares.
