Rose, James Edward “Jim” – 72, Enfield, passed away at home April 14, 2017. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late George and Thelma (Lowe) Rose. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and walking with the local dog walkers. He was an avid Blue Jays fan. Jim was a man of strong opinions and he was quite comfortable sharing them with the people around him. He enjoyed his morning coffee runs to Tim’s. Jim will be dearly missed by his children, Linda (Quentin) MacKay, Timberlea; Karen (Andrew) Scott, Enfield; James Rose, Spruce Grove, Alberta; Darren Rose (Kathleen Harmer), London, Ontario; grandchildren, Katherine, Evan, AJ, Gregory, Justin, Miranda, Nicholas, Macilynn; brothers, David (Nadene), Danny (Wendy); Shawn (Pauline), Stephen (Lynda); parents in law, Christine and Earl Johnson; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Kaye; stepfather, Victor Coolen; brother, George (Etta). Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 6-9pm Thursday, April 20 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie from where a funeral service will be held 4pm Friday, April 21. A reception will follow in the funeral home hospitality area. Memorial donations to Hope for Wildlife would be greatly appreciated.
