ELLIS, Janet age 69 of Truro formerly of Stewiacke, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2016 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Muriel (Stewart) Nelson. Janet loved the outdoors, walking and spending her summers at the beach in Brule. She loved to be out on the water and enjoyed going for drives. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 48 years, Willard; children, Pam Ellis, Patty (Stephen) Larkin, Hal (Denise) Ellis; grandchildren, Jarod, Kasey and Summer; extended family and her beach family. She was predeceased by her brother. Cremation has taken place. As per Janet’s wishes, a visitation will be held 6-9 pm Friday, November 25, 2016 at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie NS. A private graveside committal service will be held in the spring. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Canadian Cancer Society.
