Obituary of Donna Marie Regina Stevens

STEVENS, Donna Marie Regina, age 72, of Halifax, formerly of Enfield, passed away July 6, 2023 in the VG Site, Queen Elizabeth Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, surrounded by family. Born in Enfield, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Audrey (Garden) Stevens.

Donna loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved getting a tea, and spending hours at the dingle with them. In her younger years, Donna enjoyed playing many sports, especially baseball, she also enjoyed playing guitar and singing at many functions and family gatherings with her sister Paula. Donna enjoyed spending time at the Elmsdale Legion, volunteering to decorate or make sandwiches for functions, gathering with friends, or playing in many, many cribbage tournaments. She loved knitting, and made more slippers and dishcloths than anyone could count. Anytime anyone visited Donna, you could often find her watching Family Feud or People Puzzler, her grandkids enjoyed playing along with her.

She is survived by children, Jason, Vanessa, (Steven), Shane (Mary) and Maria (Gary); grandchildren, Robert, Logan, Alex, Brittany, Emily, Hannah, Emma, Nathan, Hayden, Malcolm, Brodie, Savannah, Skylar and Jackson; great grandchildren, Walker and Turner; brothers, Garry (Regina) and Tom (Val); several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Paula Day, brother, Keith Stevens, former spouse, Ernie Muise.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Elmsdale. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Elmsdale Legion, Branch 48 on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 2 to 4 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
