As a retired Artillery WO of 30 years service I am proud to say I wore the Red Jacket with the mess kit for Regimental Dinners it was because of the relation ship of the early up rising in the parries when the RCMP were in charge of the guns during this battle, A Battery 1RCHA (Royal Canadian Horse Artillery) was formed from this as the first Canadian Artillery Battery in Canada. I will be proud to wear my Blue Blaser and Gray slacks and Medals in his honor. Retired Warrant Officer Billard a past Member of A Battery in German and Canada. RIP Staff Sgt. Evert.
Sending sincere condolences to all the family in the passing of Everett. He had a difficult journey and gone far too soon, but his light will continue to shine in everyone who knew him.
May the love and support of family and friends bring comfort to you all during these very difficult days.
