Obituary of John Peter Julian

JULIAN, John Peter - age 61, of Indian Brook, passed away peacefully in the QEII, HI Site, Halifax, August 27, 2018. He was a son of the late John “JJ” and Mary Catherine (Paul) Julian.

 

John enjoyed driving the school bus, carpentry and working in the woods. He was an exceptional cook. He was a fine sportsman. He loved hockey, especially the Buffalo Sabres, and Ted Nowlan was his hero. He loved scorpions. John was a fine man who persevered through adversity and was a friend to all. John was a Day School Survivor.

 

He is survived by his siblings, Gerald, Russell, Helen Sylvia, Sandra and Paul; son, Leon (Lena); grandsons, “Baby Leon” and Dallas; many nieces and nephews; several god children.

 

He was predeceased by brothers, Dale and Edgar; and his godparents.

 

Visitation will begin at 2pm Wednesday, August 29 at 440 Hollywood Drive, Indian Brook and continue until Saturday. Funeral Mass will be 11am Saturday, September 1 in St. Kateri Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Fr. Ron Cairns celebrating. Interment will follow the service in St Kateri Community Cemetery, Indian Brook. A Salite will follow the interment.
