Obituary of Carolyn Mary Boudreau

Please share a memory of Carolyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Boudreau, Carolyn Mary, age 71

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend Carolyn Mary Boudreau passed away at home in Enfield on June 28, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family, close friends, and her adored puppy, Olivia.

Carolyn was born in Halifax, and lived there with her family until they moved to Germany during World War II to be with her father, Cyril Connors. When they returned from Germany she worked at Moir's Chocolates and Stadacona before joining Dean’s Flowers where she became a Manager and Florist.

Carolyn will be fondly remembered by her friends and family for her generosity, kind and helpful nature, and her artistic and creative abilities. She was extremely talented. She made many quilts, clothing, hats, mittens, flower arrangements, stuffed toys, cakes for weddings and special occasions. She loved to create and bake. She had many interests and collections.

Every occasion was made into a special occasion with handmade costumes and decorations and treats! All of the children in the neighbourhood loved to visit the house on special occasions, as Carolyn went out of her way to transform everything into a wonderland.

Carolyn and her husband Al shared their life journey for 35 years. They loved to explore the countryside looking for treasures in antique shops and yard sales.

They took many road trips in their motor home to venture to Ontario and the States and liked to camp at local campsites.

Carolyn was very proud of her daughters and deeply loved her grandsons Thomas and Luke who referred to her as “their bag of sugar”. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Carolyn was the daughter of the late Cyril Connors and Stella (Ferguson) Connors.

She was predeceased by her Sister, Maureen Connors; Brother, Michael Connors; Brother-in-law, David Boudreau; Baby Son, Harry Young; and Son-in-law, John Hoyt.

She is survived by her Husband, Allan Boudreau; Daughters, Paula Hoyt (Leo Gamoulakos),  and Moe Boudreau (Katie Lusk), Harry Young first husband and father of Paula;
