Obituary of Betty Dickie DICKIE , Betty Lou , age 85 of Pugwash, formerly of Meaghers Grant, passed away on March 17, 2018 with her family by her side at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Meaghers Grant, NS, she was a daughter of the late Fulton and Grace (Dillman) Dunbrack. Betty was a homemaker most of her life until later on she worked at the canteen at River Oaks golf course, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a tireless volunteer for many years in the community. She was a member of St. James United Church and the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to play cards, bingo and squared danced. She is survived by her daughter Karen Flynn; son, Rob (Lori); daughter-in-law, Diane; grandchildren, Tanya (Terry), Angela, Tony (Heather),Danny (Rachel), Jason (Heather), and Scott and Matthew; great grandchildren, Marissa, Cohen, Alaina and Henry; brother, Allen (Kathy). She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Willis, son, Bryan; son-in-law, Howie Flynn; daughter-in-law, Cindy (Redmond); brother, Karl sisters, Elsie and Kaye. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. There will be no visitation or service by request.
