Phyllis Joyce MacPhee MacPhEE, Phyllis Joyce-age 83 of East Gore, passed away peacefully wrapped in the love of her family on January 23, 2018 in the Magnolia Continuing Care, Enfield. Born in North Noel Road, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Gladys (McCulloch) Harvey. Phyllis was a loving wife and devoted mother. She was the anchor of her family. She enjoyed word search, puzzles, Toronto Blue Jays games and was the one Montreal Canadiens fan in her home. She enjoyed going for drives, card games and visits to Tim Horton’s. She often spoke fondly of her work at Scotia Nursing Home. She is survived by her children, Barrie (Sandra), Janet (Elbert) White, Anna (Michael) Cook, Robert (Beverly), Rodney (Natalie), Greg (Jeannie), Alda and Lynn; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; sister, Helen (Victor) Rice; brother, Gerry (Barb). She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Owen; brothers, Grant and Paul. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. A Celebration of Phyllis’s Life will take place 2pm Tuesday, January 30 in Rawdon Hills United Church. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in the spring in Upper Rawdon Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Rawdon Hills United Church.
