I'm shock to learn that Jen is gone. In the summer of 2013, my late sister Lan (who had known her through the family) and I visited mom at her farm. It was the first time I met Jen; I was struck by her presence. When she showed us her artwork and trophies, I was so impressed by a small sculpture that I said to myself, "Only a horse lover can make this". Later she sent me an e-Christmas card of her winter wonderland -- with light and sound. Such talent, such accomplishments!
Pierre Renoir: "The pain passes, but the beauty remains". We shall remember you, Jen.

I knew Jen through the photographic guild. I was saddened to hear of her passing and I offer sincere condolences to her family and friends. Jen was an amazing photographer and she inspired many guild members to emulate her equine images. She will be missed.

I was heartbroken to hear of Jen’s passing. Her entrepreneurial spirit, mentorship, encouragement, horse behavior expertise and photographic prowess has meant the world to me for almost 30 years. From the early days at Fantasy Farm with Roux and his Arab girlfriends - we shared many great rides and lots of laughter. I cherish every one of those moments. Between visits home, FaceTime and Facebook we’ve stayed connected. Never enough. I told you many times but you had a huge positive impact on my life and you will continue to inspire me. Much love Eric! Condolences to everyone who loved Jen.

Dear Eric, and families:
I am very sad to hear of Jen's passing. Jen was so kind to me, and I so enjoyed visiting at your place in Nine Mile River. I loved the horses, and rolling around in that buggy looking for pictures to take. She was a great lady and brought the Photo Guild of NS into the digital world, amid much protest from some of us. She was very forgiving and I liked her a lot. I have great memories of her and her love for all the animals.
Thinking of you Eric, and Jen's family, during this very difficult time. My Deepest Sympathy to all. Etta

So sorry to hear of the passing of Jen. She was a lovely lady whom I shared the passion of Arabian horses with. I bought my first Arab at Fantasy Farms, boarded there for a few years and she birthed my first foal. I am forever grateful for the knowledge she gave me. May she rest in peace and be riding the open fields on the magnificent poo bear once again.

Jen was a special friend of the Photographic Guild of Nova Scotia and an active executive member. Her images reflected her love of the country life, which included her farm, family, wildlife, landscapes, flora and especially her love of horses. She won Photographer of Year without leaving her close country side home.
Best wishes to family and friends

Oh this is so sad to hear. We have lost so many of our dear friends from the seventies equestrian crowd this year. We did not know that Jen was ill. She was so strong and vibrant, and a wonderful contributer to the equestrian world here in Atlantic Canada. Thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends.
Sincerely, Jayne and Bryan MacKenzie, Truro, NS
