Mary & Jack Manley posted a condolence
Monday, November 27, 2017We were surprised and saddened to hear of Gwen's passing. We had no idea, that she had been ill. Gwen grew up in our community, going to the same church & school, & seen the humorous side of so many things. We lose track of people, when marriages happen, and you move to different areas. I would see Gwen a few times when she would drop into my work in Halifax, while visiting Sandra. Our deepest sympathy to her children & families. God Bless. Jack& Mary(Clarke) & Roary Manley.

Monday, November 27, 2017Dear Pamela, Sandra and Danny. It was so sad to read of your Mom's passing at such a young age. I didn't know your Mom and only met her at your Dad's funeral. My sister Cheryl and I lived on the same street growing up as Eric and Janie (our fathers were cousins). Your grandparents, Harold and Della Weeks, were wonderful people. You're in our thoughts at this difficult time. Sincerely, Wanda and Bruce MacInnes

Sunday, November 26, 2017Dear Pamela, Sandra and Danny: So very sorry that you've lost your mother too soon. We hope we can enjoy our parents as long as possible, but not always the case. I didn't know your mom, but lived on the same street as your dad and Janie in Bedford and we played together; swam in the basin. My parents are Herman and Elsie Weeks.

Saturday, November 25, 2017My sincere sympathy to you on the recent passing of your mom. No matter what the age, it's never easy to lose a parent. Over the past years as I got to know Gwen, her dry humour made for a fun time whenever we were together for coffee at Carol's or elsewhere. My thoughts have been with you. Lovely write-up, it captured her so well. Sincerely, Pat and George Lewis

Saturday, November 25, 2017My condolences to the family, and may your wonderful memories comfort you at this time. Gwen always had a twinkle in her eye, and made your wonder what is she thinking, and she always had time for a chat.

Saturday, November 25, 2017We were very sad to hear of Gwen’s passing this week. I’ve known her my entire life and have very fond memories from child hood. I loved having school closures on Thursday’s because that meant I could go play with Sandra at the bowling alley while mom and Gwen bowled in the league. I’m glad Sandra and Gwen stopped by my parents place last Christmas so I hadn’t gone too long without seeing her before she passed. She will be missed but she did a great job raising three children and I’m happy I still can consider one a close friend to this day. Rest In Peace Gwen. :(
