LANGILLE, Bruce Bertram, age 78, of Enfield passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2017. Born in Ottawa, ON, he was the son of the late Robbie and Myrtle (Bellfoy) Langille. Bruce started his career in the Royal Canadian Air Force and then went to work over 30 years at Air Canada. Bruce was actively involved in the community for many years. He coached boxing and male and female softball. Bruce loved to spend his days at the hockey rink or the baseball field watching his grandson, Ethan play sports. Bruce particularly enjoyed special times spent with his extended NS family in the Annapolis Valley. He is survived by his beloved daughters, April Langille (Harold Tunney), Czar, AB; Holly (Barry) Carroll, Enfield; Sherry (Stephen) Bates, Enfield; grandchildren, Katrina (Coleton), Victoria, Nicole (James), Scott, Samantha and Ethan; great grandchildren, Dixie-Lee and Sadie; sister, Bev (Brian) Columbia, Tillsonburg, ON; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bruce was predeceased by the love of his life, wife of 50 years, Shirley “Lee” (Shearer); sister, Norma, and brother Bobby at 2 years of age. A memorial service will be held 1pm Friday, May 19 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. David LeBlanc officiating. Reception to follow. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown, at a later date The family would like to express their gratitude to the Earth Angels home care workers especially Geri, and niece and special cousin of the girls, Jennifer.
