I met Bruce in 1946 at RCAF Base Rockcliffe(Ottawa). Our fathers were in the RCAF and were transferred to Rockcliffe after the war. We went to public and high schools together(Lisgar) played hockey, football and track together, both joining the RCAF in 1957. After boot camp and trade selection, Bruce went to Winnipeg and I to Saskatoon. I opted out of the military in 1962 and Bruce in 1967. I was employed by a company headquartered in Montreal and Bruce eventually ended up with Air Canada in Montreal. We reconnected for a couple of years until he moved to Halifax with Air Canada and I repositioned to Toronto, I have fond memories growing up with Bruce and knew his sisters Norma (Cookie) and Beverley reasonably well for a number of years. We completely lost track of each other in mid 1970’s but located him in 2015 and met again in 2016 shortly before his unexpected passing. It was great to have known him as a friend for so many years.
