HULL, Brian Frederick – age 71, of Middle Musquodoboit, passed away unexpectedly on August 17th, 2026, at The Villa Retirement Home, Middle Musquodoboit. Born in Dartmouth he was the son of the late Burton and Helen (Vincent) Hull.

Those who knew Brian will remember him as a hardworking, kindhearted man who was always willing to lend a hand. From his younger years working alongside his brother, Brent, shipping cream on the family farm and carrying that on after building their homes and barns together with the help of their Dad, on their own properties in Chaswood. Brian took pride in his work, including helping build the schools in Musquodoboit. Brian and Brent shared a special bond, having worked side by side for much of their lives. Their brotherhood was built through a lifetime of hard work, shared experiences and memories. In his later years, Brian found happiness in the simple pleasures of his home in the woods, spending time along the brook and enjoying nature. He was also a dedicated part of the family’s wreath making business for over 25 years. No matter how cold or damp the day was, Brian was always there to help. Family meant so much to Brian. He especially enjoyed his time with his niece, Melanie, and teasing the girls at the market and the Villa. His playful spirit and sense of humor brought smiles to those around him. He will also be greatly missed by pup, Bailey, who will surely miss Brian’s visits, attention and treats.

Brian is survived by brother, Brent (Frannie) and niece, Melanie (Randy).

He is predeceased by his parents, grandparents and extended family.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, August 30th, 2026, at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Burial to follow in Gays River Cemetery.

Brian leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with hard work, family, laughter and kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his brother Brent, with whom he shared so much of his life with.
