LOWE (Card), Faye Jacqueline – age 87 of Halifax, formerly of Dutch Settlement passed away on August 5, 2026, in Melville Lodge, Halifax. Born in Oxford, NS, she was a daughter of the late Kathleen and Layton Card.

Faye was deeply committed to her family, friends, and faith. She had an ‘open door/no shoes allowed’, policy and there was always a pot of coffee on. Faye was extremely talented; most knew her for her paintings, some shown and sold at a gallery in Halifax. Not an instrument she could not learn to play. She could sing and sang with the Oxford Baptist church choir for years.

She loved her hobby farm, where she gardened, baked and rode her horse, Raja (they trained and showed, equestrian). Some Sunday mornings, you might catch her singing while playing hymns on her baby grand piano.

Faye was truly a gifted woman with a beautiful soul and will be missed by all who knew her...especially by her children.  Faye loved Tigger her ever so faithful cat. Oh my gosh, mom Worshiped her, baby girl!!!

Faye is survived by her daughter, Tara Westman; sons, David Cormier and Shawn Cormier; grandchildren, Devin Westman, Noah and Tyler Cormier

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Gordon.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.
