WEATHERBEE, Robert Gene “Bob”, age 77, of Maitland, Hants County, NS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, NS with his daughter by his side.  

Robert was born in Truro, NS on November 7, 1948.  He was the son of the late Vernon Weatherbee and Luella Hennigar (Burton).

Bob enjoyed many hobbies which included hunting, fishing, reading, playing radio bingo, darts and loved his Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Bob is survived by his daughters Tammy, Falmouth, NS and Crystal, Ottawa, ON. Granddaughters Alyssa (Dustin) Boutilier, Windsor, NS, Alexis Harvey (Brandon Berry),  Falmouth, NS and Grandson Logan Guerard, Ottawa, ON.  Great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Willow, Oaklynn, Reese Boutilier and Jackson Berry.  Brothers, Stanley (Jean) Weatherbee, Truro, NS, Melvin, Alliston, ON, Joel, Maple Grove, NS and sister Beverly (Randy) Bennett, Maple Grove, NS.  Many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather Jim Hennigar and brother Norman.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.

A graveside service will be held at 10AM on Monday, August 10 at St. John the Baptist Anglican Cemetery, Latties Brook, Rev. Glenn Eason officiating.
