Terrance (Terry) Andrew Fogarty

January 26th, 1982 - July 27th, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Terrance (Terry) Andrew Fogarty on Monday, July 27th, 2026, at the age of 44.

Born and raised in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Terry grew up on Nesbitt Street, where children filled the neighbourhood, and it became affectionately known as “the Island.” It was there that he spent his childhood and early adult years, surrounded by family and a close-knit community.

Terry lived life on his own terms. Independent and true to himself, he followed his own path and had a personality that was uniquely his own. Life presented him with many challenges, but those who truly knew Terry understood that beneath his tough exterior was a kind-hearted and loyal friend. If Terry cared about you, there was nothing he wouldn’t do to help, and he would gladly give you the shirt off his back.

He worked a variety of jobs throughout his life before finding a career he liked as a traffic control person with Safety First. It was there he met Mitchell and Chuck Greaves, who became like family. Terry was also grateful for his lifelong friendship with Matt Whitehead and Dwayne Hebb.

In his free time, Terry enjoyed gaming, spending time with his friends, writing poetry, collecting rocks, and capturing the beauty of a sunrise through his camera. He had a special love for animals and found joy in making people laugh with his sarcastic sense of humour.

Terry was predeceased by his father, Hadd Fogarty; his aunt, Lena Fogarty Jr.; and his paternal grandparents, Harry and Lena Fogarty, who lovingly raised him as their own.

Terry leaves behind his cat, Rascal, his stepbrother, James Parker, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends who will remember him fondly and cherish the memories they shared.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, Church of the Nazerene, Pastor Bill officiating. 131 Wentworth Road, Winsor, NS., with a private family burial.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kindness, support, and expressions of sympathy during this difficult time.

We find comfort in knowing Terry is in a better place. To everyone who’s already in that place… you’ve been warned. Jokes aside, we hope you’ve finally found the peace you deserved. Rest easy, Terry. You’ll be missed more than words can ever say.
